Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Mount runner system
   • Adjust volume of runner system to conform to specifications
   • Attach runner components pattern plates to specification using appropriate fixing and joining techniques
2. Determine job requirements
   • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
3. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
4. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
5. Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
6. Inspect and layout patterns
   • Inspect pattern to ensure dimensions and surface finish conforms to specifications
7. Lay out pattern and runner system to specifications from drawings, sketches or verbal instructions
8. Align pattern in an appropriate manner
9. Mount pattern on plates
   • Attach cope and drag patterns/double sided match plate patterns to pattern plate/s according to specification
10. Inspect cope and drag patterns/double sided match plate patterns for security and alignment
    • Adjust volume of runner system to conform to specifications
11. Attach runner components pattern plates to specification using appropriate fixing and joining techniques
12. Inspect plated pattern assembly
    • Inspect surface and mouldability of plated pattern assembly for compliance with specifications
